The Last Lecture

I finished reading Randy Pausch's book last night, which of course left me in tears. It must have felt horrible to know that you have to die(where chances of surviving are supremely remote) and not being able to spend the rest of your life with your sweetheart, and grow up with your children(who are still toddlers).

My shuteye after reading the book wasn't too good of course because in my dream, i became Randy Pausch. Except that i was myself with nothing to leave behind but my family and friends. The dream developed till it was the day i was supposed to die, and it was down to the last 10 hours. I was bawling my eyes out when i hugged my dad in my dream, and i recall writing 'wills'(HAHA). Fortunately Sammy Whammy woke me up then and the horrid dream was over.Gosh. What a dream.

And i do believe that it was tough on the Pausch family too, because the big guy had everything going for him, and so was it for the rest of the family. But cancer had to take his life away, and perhaps rob the children of an otherwise perfect childhood. I do hope his last lecture, his book, and all his endeavors to make up for his absence in the children's life will be able to provide some solace for the whole family in years to come...

(P.S. He passed away on July 25th, '08, at just 48 years old.)
