Martha Karolyi should shut her gap and quit blaming the stadium officals for Alicia Sacramone's dismal performance at the beam and on the floor. Sabotage? I think NOT.
But she contradicted herself by claming that Sacramone was 'emotionally vulnerable':
Sacramone added that she lost concentration because of the delay leading into her beam performance.
"I was just really eager to do my routine and get the show on the road but they did hold me for quite some time and I guess I lost my nerve a little bit," she said.
Asked how long she could maintain focus while waiting to perform her routines, she repled: "Apparently not long enough."
I didn't think that quality would qualify for the national team anyway. You've trained for at least a decade just for this. Surely a few seconds won't matter?
So is it still sabotage? Karolyi answered her own question.
And regarding China's gymnasts, methinks it is possible that their ages have been falsified for the smaller built ones. But nevertheless, to have gotten the gold, to have performed so well(even with their age!), and with the mental toughness to carry it through despite mistakes here and there, they are already champions in their own rights.
For once, i'm pro-China. =) (But only really because i'm anti-America, and because i'm a Chinese. Why would i root for an American? I like Liukin, but she's Russian. ;))
