5 to go...

Honestly, morning shifts are easier to work, simply because we have more things to do. Afternoon shifts are bad in a sense that you go home late, have to open eyes big big to look for things to do, and it gets draggy after a while.

Today wasn't so bad because i was busy almost the whole time. I really dislike taking vital signs though it's the most basic skill, because it's VERY time-consuming and it makes me PMS. I don't trust myself sometimes when the BP readings are too low or high, but so far when it has been counter checked by another nurse, turns out my readings are accurate.

Met a weirdly dressed guy(who really looked like the SA teacher who was the civics tutor of 07S01 or 02...). Turns out he was the nephew/son of a patient in my cubicle, and he's a nursing officer at A&E downstairs. I was SO scared when i did things in front of him because he IS a nurse! The doctor wanted(or ordered) me to take my patient's BP before she was discharged and i had to do it in front of him. BP super low. He counter checked immediately after i did it. *phew* If my reading was wrong, i'll DIE. But he was nice. He even thanked me when he left. Too bad he's not cute/hot. LOL.

I really shouldn't blog so much about ward work...
