Ah... I'm still deeply in love with the Giselle Act 2 pas de deux. I've found gems! I still don't have a favourite Giselle. Alicia Alonso is not my fave, though thye call her the legendary Giselle. I saw a small part of it danced by POB's Aurelie Dupont, and SFB's Maria Kochetkova, and i was pleasantly surprised! I've always known Aurelie Dupont to be a fine ballerina, but i never paid much attention due to my lack of appreciation of the French technique. But she is a good Giselle!!! Kochetkova on the other hand, who was Russian-trained, was lithe and light in her entrechat quatres and saute passe(which is traditionally supposed to be a petit releve passe) and was the perfect epitome of a how a sylph should 'float'!
Omg. I wanna buy the music for Giselle! My heart melts everytime i hear the pas de deux music. :)
On the other hand, i really like My Way sung by Frank Sinatra. I first heard of it during Sec 3/4 history lessons- Sinatra Doctrine, was explained by Mrs Tang, was named thus because of the song. :)
