The famous and breath-taking Burj Al Arab! It was late morning- i love how the sunlight bounces off the building!
Don't ask me what Sam was wearing. IMHO, she was a walking fashion disaster that day.
The view from the souk nearby.
It looks like a cockroach from this view. Main gist of this photo- security is VERY tight. Must have a booking for a room to enter the hotel.
We were eating our sandwiches and salads from Costa in the souk.
The Atlantis, which is on the the Palm Jumeirah(on the palm-shaped island). Also featured in the latest The Amazing Race. It costs about S$1500 per night as least(i think).
Ocean view!
LRT that runs on the island.
Which is operated by SG's very own SMRT!!! :)
Aquaventure! Remember the slide in The Amazing Race? Scary!
The Sheikh Zayed Mosque built probably in honour of UAE/Abu Dhabi's founding father. It's gorgeous! We had to don scarves and modest black clothes(i don't know what you call that...) to enter. The pic's with Mum. Too bad!
View from Abu Dhabi's Heritage Village.
Dad aptly named this building the Biscuit, which is a very prominent landmark near his apartment. He uses this Biscuit as his guide when he drives- if he can see it, he's on the path. If not, uh-oh...
Who knew Abu Dhabi has a mountain? Our very capable driver drove us all the way up!
Many parts were stolen up in the mountains.
Sam looks like a true blue auntie, while i look like a banana. *hmph*
We were taking a boat(more like sampan) ride down the Dubai Creek.
