On Wednesday, i got to know that i was shortlisted for overseas industrial placement programme(OIPP). On Friday, i got to know that i was chosen together with 40 others(from about 1200 students from Year 1 and 2. 'Cream of the crop', they say. But that's bull...) to train for WorldSkills SG and represent the school and hopefully SG in WorldSkills International in London 2011. Training process will be long and tough, and they are going by elimination down to 8 students only for the local competition. Wow.
What else? I'm fortunate to get such opportunities that i wouldn't have even dreamt of(though i wanted to do OIPP ever since i started nursing school) with my pathetic GPA(in comparison with those who are better than mine)... But WorldSkills? It is so unimaginable with my GPA. So i guess someone recommended me. So whoever it was, i'm grateful. The easiest part is done, and now it's my turn to work hard and turn the opportunities into reality. Work hard Steph!!! You can do it!
Good things come in threes, they say. Who knows? Maybe one more is coming up. But i'm contented as it is!
Praise God for everything! I would never have been able to do anything without His amazing grace and mercy. :)
Yay for nursing!!! Woohoo!
