Was watching Giselle Grand Pas De Deux from Act 2 again. This time it's Svetlana Zakharova and Roberto Bolle... She has the best arms for Giselle. But with her crazy extensions, Giselle just doesn't seem so.... Original... Whatever happened to the less than perfect 6 o' clock penchees? Roberto Bolle is SO GOOD. Omg. Can't remember whether he's with Royal Ballet or ABT... *hmm*
Anyways, we are like in a chicken coop in Sg. Kirov Ballet is never ever coming here. Royal Ballet came but i couldn't get tix. Paris Opera, ABT, NYCB etc will never come here. I MUST make a 'sabbatical' one day to watch all the greats. In Russia, London, New York and Paris. *hmph*
But again, professionals these days are so caught up with who turns more, who jumps the highest, who can lift their legs the highest etc. Not many care about artistry anymore! I want Asylmuratova, Makhalina, Kirkland, Kunakova!!! I'm not a fan of Fonteyn, though they say she's the best...
